Good News
Sin Separates man from God.
Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Luke 16:26 - And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.
Man Cannot cross the gulf on his own.
Many have tried baptism, good works, kindness to the needy, church attendance, giving, being prayed over, and many other things. None of these good works can ever earn a place in heaven, because every good work man does is sin-stained.
Isaiah 64:6 - But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Here's the GOOD NEWS!
The price of death has been paid by Jesus on cross. He shed his blood, died, was buried, and three days later rose from the tomb. He now sits at the right hand of God the Father waiting, willing, able, and ready to receive all who admit they are a sinner, believe Jesus is God in flesh and did all He claimed to do, and confess Him as savior, by simply asking HIm to save from the eternal death penalty of sin.
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8 - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9-10 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
