Choose Christ for Deliverance

It is a blessed thought that Jesus delivers us from eternal punishment, and gives us eternal life. We have it at the moment of salvation, but what about during this life? Who can we turn to in time of need? Who can help us now, in time of temptation? Who can help us overcome the strongholds in our lives? The answer is found in Jesus. Finding that He has strength to give us. Look at these verses for encouragement: 1. Psalms 37:39 - But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. 2. Psalms 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 3. 1 Corinthians 10:13 - There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. 4. Romans 8:37 - Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 5. Hebrews 12:1-2 - Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, (2) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Look to Jesus. Look to the godly friends He has placed in your life and when you feel like you can’t make it, lean in on them. Let them help you carry your burden. While we can always, and should always, call on the name of Jesus, you don’t have to face the trials, temptations, or strongholds alone. Ask God for godly friends that will be there with you and for you. Ask God for friends that will pray with you, encourage you and point you back to the true source of power for deliverance…. JESUS.
