When Men Fail You

It is NO secret that no one is perfect. It is also no secret that you WILL fail and you WILL be let down. Someone in your life, whether a family member, political leader, religious leader, athlete, Hollywood star, boss, friend, or even the person behind the counter that messes up your order or is rude to you when you are already frustrated. The question is what do you do WHEN man fails you.
Many people become visibly angry when someone fails them. Many people, depending on who it is in their life become so shocked they mourn and become frozen with disbelief. They try to process the failure and try to figure how to move on, but for some it is very difficult.
Admittedly there are varying degrees for failure. I would not be nearly as confused by the one who is rude to me from behind the counter as I would be by a close friend that, seemingly, all of a sudden says or does something I never dreamed they would say or do. The Psalmist dealt with this... Psalm 41:9 - “Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.” How did he deal with this? He ran to the One who will NEVER fail nor forsake him. He ran to God in the very next verse and asks for mercy and strength to handle the problems he faced.
It is a guarantee that you will be let down, people will fail you, but it is also a guarantee that though others fail you and leave you God NEVER will! Check these verses out!!
Psalm 27:10 - “When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.”
James 1:17 - “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”
Deuteronomy 31:8 - “And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”
Hebrews 13:5 - “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”
Praise God!! When man fails you, turn to God, HE NEVER WILL!
